Details
Kick off your adventure in Truckee, where you'll meet Jonny, and the guides from Pacific Crest Snowcats, who'll review the guidelines for backcountry cat skiing - a few rules go a long way when out of bounds. After caffeinating and meeting your fellow skiers, the group will shuttle to the trailhead where the snowcat is waiting to escort you into the backcountry. During the exhilarating ride, get to know Jonny, hear his Olympic tales and chat about his legendary skiing exploits and accomplishments.
Once the cat has crested the peak, it's time to click in and bomb down the high alpine mountainside. The morning session kicks off with a warm-up run or two, giving Jonny an opportunity to assess your style and make small adjustments that will reap huge gains. Thanks to his personalized feedback, you can instantly tweak old habits and learn new tricks to get you ripping through powder and slicing up the tree-lined terrain. With a break for a warm and hearty lunch served up on a sweeping backcountry peak, refuel and replenish before the big afternoon session.
As the day advances, so does the terrain. The group will be introduced to a more challenging landscape where your newly acquired skills are put to good use. Jonny will continue to monitor your progress and offer feedback, ensuring a day of steady improvement over increasingly difficult terrain. Need inspiration in the moment to tackle the tougher landscape? Jonny will throw in a few of his famous moves to keep the group motivated.
Wonderfully exhausted after a day of unadulterated fresh powder skiing, finish up with an apres-ski session around an outdoor fire pit. Hot toddies and delicious nibbles will be served as the group recounts the day's adventure. Now warm and toasty from the final festivities, board the cat for a sunset ride back to the trailhead, where you'll return back to Truckee and your adventure will come to a close.

Must be 21+ to participate in all zozi Guru experiences.
Experience must be redeemed for date purchased.
Experiences are transferable only with notification to zozi prior to experience date. zozi cannot guarantee that all meal requests, gear selection, etc. will be available at time of transfer.
Experience will take place rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe.
In the event a Guru experience is cancelled (ex: Guru injured or extreme weather), zozi will issue a refund for 100% of the cost of the experience. We will do our best to reschedule the customers on a future experience date (same exact experience), if there are open spots.
In the event an experience is cancelled due to weather or other issue, zozi will not be responsible for refunding for any travel arrangements customer made to attend the experience.
