The Pedalounge concept is quite popular in Amsterdam and is becoming very popular in the southeast Brewing District of Portland. What is a pedalounge you might ask? The pedalounge is a 16-seat bicycle people-powered brewery tour. It stops at many locations in the Brewing District including Tennessee Reds Barbecue Company, APEX, Geniee, and Pin Stripes Bar and Grill. At each stop, guests get about 20 minutes to enjoy the brew before its on to the next stop. In order to facilitate 16 people at a location in 20 minutes, guests are encouraged to bring cash. While many people choose to rent the entire Pedalounge, it is not necessary. Each tour lasts about two hours. Guests can even arrange to have food ready for them when they arrive at selected destinations. This tour runs rain or shine so be sure to prepare for the weather.
Since the Pedalounge has an outstanding sound system, guests are encouraged to bring their playlists on their own devices. He will then hook it up to the sound system. Guests can then sing along as they roll from one stop to the next.
