Riley's Log Cabin Farm
Crisp clean air and groves of ripe apple trees make Oak Glen an ideal daytime destination for people in nearby cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego and Palm Springs. Situation in the center of Apple Country, Riley's Farm lets guests experience apples in a way they can't at the grocery store. The farm grows 30 varieties of apples, and many of the trees on the farm are over 100 years old. During the summer, families can pick their own apples directly off the trees. They can also pick pears, blackberries, pears, pumpkins and strawberries, depending on the time of the year.
If guests venture into the area for other reasons, such as dance lessons, they can enjoy an 18th-century style restaurant will breakfast, lunch and dinners options. An onsite bakery lets guests purchase homemade pies made from the farm's locally-grown fruit. On the farm, a local company puts on family-friend dinner theater performances of shows such as "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," "A Christmas Carol" and "Rockabilly Nights."
