The Willamette River is one of Oregon's best kept secrets - a meandering ribbon of water that traverses mile after mile of untouched Oregon countryside. Paddle Oregon is an annual guided kayaking trip the Willamette River that is held by Willamette Riverkeeper, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of the Willamette River.
Paddle Oregon varies from year to year, but kayakers on the trip typically explore 80 miles of river over the course of five days. Registration for Paddle Oregon includes meals. gear transportation and overnight camping accommodations. All participants may rent a kayak or bring their own. Experienced guides lead all trips, but kayaking on the Willamette River nevertheless requires basic kayak skills. 13- to 18-foot sea kayaks are typically used.
The Willamette River is both an American Heritage River and a National Water trail, and Paddle Oregon is an opportunity to explore the river in style with excellent food, fun activities and entertainment.
