Northwest Paddle Surfers
Paddle surfing is a relatively new water sport that kids and adults alike are able to participate in. While the paddleboards bear a resemblance to surfboards that are used to ride the waves, this sport is much easier and safer. The technique of stand up paddleboarding can be learned by most people within a short amount of time since it is not difficult. Stand up paddleboard surfing is increasing in popularity, probably because the sport can be safely enjoyed as a family activity.
Jeff Underwood and Dan Eberhardt opened Northwest Paddle Surfers to the public in 2009 because they both love water sports and want to share their passion. The business has two locations; one in Kirkland and the other in Lake Chelan State Park. Water enthusiasts who want to learn the sport are able to rent equipment and take classes at both locations, but minors must complete an online "Notice of Risk" form prior to the class.
