White Water Rafting

Indigo Creek Outfitters

Rating: 4.5/5 ZOZI RATING

The term white water refers to the white lather stirred up by the turbulence of a river. The extreme sport of white water rafting is a popular recreational activity. Those who enjoy it take advantage of the local presence of white water, and many others travel many miles just to go rafting. (People do get killed taking part in this sport, though.)

Indigo Creek Outfitters is a club that caters to white water and other rafting enthusiasts. It is based in Ashland, Oregon, which is full of white water rivers. It was first founded over forty years ago, during which time it has had other names, including Outdoor Adventures and Idaho & Oregon River Journeys. Two organized rafting trips are part of Indigo's program - Rogue River Half-Day and Upper Klamath Full-Day. Both start at the Rafting Center and take the form of two trips per day. Indigo also offers wine-tasting tours of the many vineyards that dot the region.
